The erp4students program was developed to help you acquire major skills for the job market while allowing you maximum flexibility. All our SAP e-learning courses are offered thrice a year – one term starting in March, one in May and the last one in November. The courses run for 3 ½ months and you will have access to all learning materials as well as to the SAP software 24 hours a day – every day of the course! Throughout these 3 ½ months, you will be supported by SAP-certified tutors who can be contacted via email or via course forums on the e-learning platform. The tutors are available every day of the course – even on weekends and during semester brakes.
Learning Materials
At the beginning of the course, you will receive an email with your login data. In the email, it is explained how to access the e-learning management system (LMS) as well as the SAP system. In the LMS, you can find all necessary learning materials and the discussion forums. You will also be given the contact details of your support team.
After downloading the lecture notes, you will be prompted to install the SAP GUI on your computer or laptop. There is a detailed description of the installation process in the first script! The software can also be installed on Linux and Macintosh computers (when you are interested in a BW course, please see the special system requirements for SAP BW!). Once the software is installed, you can start the course.
Every chapter of the lecture notes is divided into two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part with a case study. The theoretical part informs about the background you need in order to understand the subject and the SAP-system, while the case studies make it possible to actually do practical work with the software! This way, you will be going back and forth between your lecture notes and the SAP system.
After finishing a case study, you will send your results to your tutor. When everything is correct, he will let you know and you can go on with the next case study. In case of mistakes, the tutor will inform you as well and give you hints on how to correct the mistakes. When all mistakes are solved, you can go on.
The case studies are performed in an SAP education system. The used IDES (Internet Demonstration and Evaluation System) represents a fully developed model enterprise. It is based on the standard SAP system.
NOTE: You receive the login data on the first day of the course, not earlier!
Tutor Support on Every Day of the Course!
In contrast to other e-learning projects, you will not be left alone with your materials! Whenever a question or a problem occurs, you can write an email to your tutor! The tutor is available every day of the course – even on weekends and during semester brakes!
Additionally, the e-learning platform provides forums in which you can perfectly work together with other students and discuss certain aspects of the course.
This concept allows you to handle your course in the most flexible manner. Until the last day of the course, you can work on your own pace and from anywhere you like – all you need is an internet access and the SAP GUI installed on your laptop. Whenever you need help, your tutor is there to answer your questions!
University Certificate
At the end of the official course period and after finishing all case studies of a course correctly, you will receive a certificate by the University of Duisburg-Essen which states the course contents, the workload and the practical work on the SAP system! This certificate itself is very well-recognized because it states that you have worked intensively on the SAP system. This is so important because usually, you cannot get access to an SAP system before working for a big consultancy company or a large SAP user. Usual in-house trainings focus on important theoretical contents and methods to explain the SAP system. Due to the very generous course term of 3 ½ months, erp4students’ e-learning courses provide the unique opportunity to engage with an SAP system over a long period of time before being confronted with a system of this kind in a future job.
Official SAP Certification
After finishing the course Integrated Business Processes with SAP ERP (TERP10) you can take the official SAP certification exam in order to gain a globally recognized SAP certificate. The respective courses cover all the necessary contents you need in order to prepare perfectly for the exam. After finishing the BW or CRM program (BW consist of three consecutive courses), you are also prepared for the SAP certification exam. The exam can be taken at an individual date up to 3 months after the course at one of the following locations: exam locations in Europe
